Faithful pursuit of continuing education through these organizations as well as other programs endorsed by the industry’s Pilates Method Alliance keeps her well rounded in the latest developments.

Sarah is also a Certified Level One Franklin Method Teacher. The Franklin Method combines scientific and anatomical analysis with movement, integrating imagery exercises that make it effective and fun. It can be used for specific performance enhancement as well as a tool to improve overall fitness and body awareness.

“I feel like we have gotten away from actually ‘living’ in our bodies day to day. I have a passion for engaging my clients in body awareness, teaching them techniques to improve posture and maintain good back health. And, whether fit or just getting back into fitness, the Pilates method is excellent to increase overall strength and flexibility. Dedicate some time to moving mindfully in session, then you can integrate that into your daily living.”

Embody Movement Pilates Instructor Kristin DietrichKristin Dietrich
has been a Certified exercise instructor since 1994.  Teaching throughout the Chicago Western Suburbs, her focus has been primarily on group fitness cardio like hi/lo aerobics, step, and kickboxing until around 2001 when she was asked to certify in Stott Pilates.  Upon completion of her training, Kristin began teaching Pilates Mat, making it an integral part of her programming for classes.  In particular, she loves how Pilates compliments all types of exercise regimens for her clients, allowing the body time to focus on flexibility, coordination, core strength and endurance.

Kathleen Hornstein, Embody Movement Pilates StudioAlthough Kathleen Hornstein had enjoyed teaching many different types of exercise,
and had earned certifications from AFAA, AEA, Star Trac Precision Cycling, and The World Tae Kwon Do Federation, when Kathleen discovered Pilates, she knew she had found her calling. The holistic, mind-body aspects of Pilates really resonated with her.  She finds that helping people to discover a sense of well-being, connection, and appreciation for themselves and their bodies through the practice of Pilates is a source of deep joy. She completed certification with the PhysicalMind Institute in 2001 for Mat and in 2010 reached her dream to become fully certified on all apparatus.
